Lumma CLR 550 GT Styling Design For New 2011 Porsche Cayenne Revealed

For more than 20 years, LUMMA Design has been recognized as one of the fastest car tuners around. This applies to the engine performance of the vehicles as well as the pace to which the company reacts to new car models. The car tuner from Winterlingen in the German state of Baden-Württemberg presents its design development CLR 550 GT already for the launch of the brand-new Porsche Cayenne.

LUMMA Design provided the somewhat reserved appearance of the Cayenne with a tailor-made sports suit that radiates self-confidence. It comprises a new front spoiler with a deep drawn cup spoiler sword and additional carbon applications that give the Porsche an aggressive agile look. The added LED daytime running lights and the fog lights unit emphasise this self-contained design.

The new sporty bonnet, which is made from high-performance materials such as carbon and Kevlar, also demands to be recognised. The gill-like air inlets provide the best heat dissipation from the engine compartment, and the elevated windscreen wiper cover reduces the aerodynamic drag.

The bold wing extensions continue the aerodynamic optimisation of the Cayenne. The side skirts steady the airflow and guide the air through a specially designed channel to the rear brakes, thus ensuring a stable and optimum operating temperature. Customized openings in the door fixtures provide additional cooling. They continue seamlessly between the wider wheelhouse of the front and rear wheels. The total aerodynamic package makes the CLR 550 GT a force to be reckoned with on the road.

This impression is further reinforced by the massive light alloy wheels. LUMMA Design uses forged 11×23 inch aluminium rims with a deep wheel hub.

The individual shape of the rear end is also impressive. The heart of this design is the rear spoiler with its integrated carbon diffuser. Incorporated into the centre of the spoiler are the three stainless steel tailpipes, giving it the distinctive look of the design. Only LUMMA Design offers the visual appearance of a centre pipe flanked by two smaller ones. What’s more, the roof edge spoiler and the tear-off edge on the tailgate, both made of carbon, provide additional power.

By incorporating further design elements, LUMMA Design brings the transformation of the Porsche Cayenne to full circle. This includes headlight rings and tail light trims.

Increased performance features and a comprehensive luxury programme for fine-tuning of the interior are already on the table.

The new CLR 550 GT proves again that LUMMA Design is a trendsetter in its field. Lumma Widebody Kit CLR X for BMW X6M

Lumma didn’t stop at just tuning the regular X6 (with their CLR X650 GT), but has now taken on the X6M! The result is the Lumma CLR X650 M which features a similar bodykit as the GT, but gets a nearly 100hp power bump (from 555hp/680nm to 650hp/830nm)! 0-62 is achieved in 4.5 seconds with a 194mph top speed. The CLR X650M will debut at the 2010 Geneva Auto Salon in March.

Lumma Design for BMW CLR X 650 M – Revises Power Up to 670 hp

LUMMA Design presents motor sport experience in a super XXL format. The German custom body-designer reworked the BMW & increased the performance up to 670 hp (493 kW). This visual transformation is not reserved solely for the top model X6 M, but is available for all models too. Thus, the drivers of all X6 gas & diesel engines benefit from the massive body kit, powerful quad-exhaust system & the sporty & luxurious interior.

The showstopper for LUMMA CLR X 650 M is the new body kit. The front spoiler with the three voluminous air ducts & the vertically mounted LED daytime running lights already ensures the confident road presence, supported by fender extensions in the front & the rear, side skirts & panels with air ducts on the rear doors. The redesigned rear skirt with the generous dimensions of the diffuser, the rear hatch element & the large rear wing perfectly complete the stunning effect. Furthermore, the new bonnet gives the CLR X 650 M an additional sporty look. LUMMA Design makes it out of Carbon & Kevlar, which decrease the weight & lowers the centre of gravity of the car, & the materials ensure a high amount of stability in spite of being lightweight.

The lowering springs for the air suspension bring the LUMMA X6 closer to the asphalt by 45mm. The RACING IV light alloy wheels act as an advantage. The multipart look of the rims in 9.5×20 inches with the stainless steel outer well is covered with 275/40 wide ultra-high performance tyres.

The performance enhancement by LUMMA Design keeps the promise of a new design. The interaction of the optimised engine electronics & the new exhaust system catapult the performance of the serial 555 hp (408 kW) to 670 hp (493 kW) & the maximum torque from 680-850 Newton metres. The top speed is now at 312 km/h instead of 250 km/h in the standard version.

It is not the X6 M alone that benefits from the LUMMA gas pedal power module (GPM). Each model with electronic gas pedal adapts better to gas with this simple plug-&-play solution.The sports exhaust system with valve control & four stainless steel pipes with a diameter of 100mm are also available for all models of the BMW X6. Thus LUMMA Design evaluates the diesel-SUV in the same manner as all the petrol models up to the X6 M.

The interior is also sporty & classy with an enhanced speedometer to 360 km/h & aluminium pedals including footrests. The Carbon applications give an agile flair to the inner space with the “Exclusive” full leather interior with stitched diamond patterns & inlaid coloured seams. Lumma lines the carbon on the sports steering wheel, the automatic selector lever on the dashboard, the centre console & the doors with the colour desired by the customer.

All these tuning components of LUMMA Design include a TUV technical component report, so that they may be easily included in the car documents. Any workshop or even the Winterlingen based LUMMA Design undertake the assembly at attractive package prices.
