Akrapovic Slip-On Exhaust System for Porsche 911 Turbo (997 FL)

Akrapovic has once again developed the premier aftermarket exhaust for the Porsche Turbo line. We begin with our very lightweight center muffler made from our proprietary titanium alloy. Replacing the stock center muffler alone reduces the weight at the back of the car by 4 kg.

Performance

The next option is to replace the stock link pipes with the Akrapovic variant made from titanium and incorporating either 100 cpsi or 200 cpsi high-flow catalysts (customer choice). These link pipes, when coupled with our titanium center muffler, produce a total weight savings of 8 kg compared with the stock system.

Each center muffler kit also includes beautifully handcrafted, aerospace grade, carbon fiber bumper inserts with integrated titanium exhaust tail pipes. These distinctive, yet subtle pieces will set your car apart from the rest of the pack.

As always, our mission is to improve the sound of the car. Turbochargers are known for absorbing quite a bit of the sound volume of an engine. Through careful design we were able to produce a system that has the deep and aggressive sound a car of this caliber deserves without being unpleasant or intrusive during normal driving conditions.

The weight savings, appearance, and the amazing sound delivered by the Akrapovic system are reason enough to own the system. However, in order to increase the power beyond the limit of 500 HP, ECU reprogramming will be required. The Akrapovic exhaust system is a perfect basis for increased power when used in conjunction with an ECU reflash as well as other power-enhancing modifications.

Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust System for Porsche 911 Turbo (997)

In addition to providing Porsche AG with a titanium exhaust system for the GT2, we also developed the aftermarket Evolution complete exhaust system for the Turbo, which is made of titanium. We achieved an increase in power, torque and reduction of weight by 14 kg, because of the complete new manifold system, new 400 or 100 cpsi (customer’s choice) hi-flow metal catalysts and the capacity-optimized layout of the mufflers.

Performance

Two turbo chargers, two air intercoolers considerably increase the weight of the Porsche 997 Turbo engine in comparison to the atmospheric model. The lighter exhaust system unburdens the rear end and centralizes the weight in a more balanced manner. The limit range of the vehicle adjusts upwards and so a higher transverse acceleration is possible. The combination of improved power to weight ratio (through an increased efficiency of 30,6 HP), torque progression by 38,3 Nm, and the positive effects in connection with driving dynamics enhance the performance of the Turbo distinctively. Furthermore, we thought it important to improve the sound. The turbines of the Turbo strongly absorb the sound of the engine, but we were able could compensate for it. We were able to add the otherwise quiet Turbo a sonorous and aggressive sound impression without disadvantages in the daily use.

Mansory Interior & Exterior Modifications for Porsche 911 / 997 Carrera

Exterior

When developing the 911-program, the Mansory engineers attached great importance to an individual design, but also aerodynamic efficiency. In order to save weight and guarantee highest quality standards, the body components are made of Composite. Also, parts of the serial auto body are made of this resilient and inherently stable material. The core part of the body kit is a lift-reducing front mount in a sportive-dynamic look. In connection with the hood, the front apron offers various design possibilities. On the one hand, it forms the perfect symbiosis with the serial hood, as an especially designed inlay allows a seamless junction. And on the other hand, the apron can be combined with the Mansory carbon hood whose striking side beads demonstrate individuality and underline the sportive character of the modification. The rear apron is not less impressive: it accommodates the new four-pipe exhaust system and therefore renders a harmonic rear finish. The visual perfection of the aerodynamics pack is accomplished with the side skirts which also fulfil functional tasks. They significantly calm the air flow between both axles.

Interior

The crowning finale to the Mansory Porsche refinement is the interior applications. Of course, only the most precious materials are used. The leather, e.g. for the seats and the dashboard, is extremely resilient, but still enormously soft. With its individual graining and the perfectly applied decorative stitching, the newly designed sport steering-wheel and its environment render an extravagant impression. In order to emphasise the dynamic character even more, Mansory customers can equip their interior with anti-skip aluminium pedals and real carbon components.

Akrapovic Slip-On Exhaust System for Porsche 911 Carrera/ Carrera S (997 DFI)

In its thoroughly refurbished edition, the Porsche 911 family, which offers the greatest versatility of models, now hosts further improved direct injection engines under the hood that can be combined with a coupe or a cabriolet body shell, the Targa edition or with a four-wheel or a rear-wheel drive. Our engineers prepared a homologated aftermarket Slip-On exhaust system for the refurbished 911 series, which provides 911 models with even greater power and unburdens the rear with regard to weight, thus offering better steerability. Additionally, the Akrapovic exhaust system boasts a special optional wireless kit for exhaust valves control, which offers a choice between a more sporty and loud and regular performance, suitable for everyday driving.

Performance

Performance Several requirements must be met when developing a homologated exhaust system. The Akrapovic Slip-On exhaust system meets all of them to the highest degree, namely with regard to endurance, sound balance and comfort. Moreover, it improves efficiency. Increase in power is especially noticeable between 2,000 and 4,500 rpm. The homologated Slip-On exhaust system increases efficiency by 8,7 HP and offers an additional 16,8 Nm. The engineers were also able to decrease the weight of the exhaust system by almost 5 kilograms. In addition to appearance and sound, the 911 DFI also boasts a noticeably improved power to weight ratio.
